Benbrook Electrical Work That Gets the Cause Right First

We test before we replace. Breakers that trip, lights that flicker, a panel that's out of room, an EV charger for the garage or a generator for the next outage. We handle electrical repair, panel upgrades and backup power for homes in Benbrook, White Settlement and Aledo.

Why Homeowners Call Us

Most electrical callbacks happen because someone fixed a symptom. We spend the time up front to find what actually failed.

  1. 01

    We test, then we talk

A tripping breaker can be a bad breaker, a loose neutral, a failing appliance or a circuit carrying too much. We check with meters and load tests before we name a cause. You hear what we found and how we know.

  2. 02

No parts thrown at the problem

Swapping parts until something works costs you money and leaves the real fault in the wall. We replace what tested bad and leave what tested good.

  3. 03

    Repair or replace, said plainly

Sometimes an old panel just needs tightened lugs and a new breaker. Sometimes it's done. We tell you which, and why, and you decide.

  4. 04

    Written scope before work starts

You get the scope and price in writing before we cut a wire. If we open a wall and find something new, we stop, show you, and ask before going further.

  5. 05

    We clean up behind ourselves

Drop cloths go down where we work. Drywall dust, wire scraps and old parts leave with us.

About Benbrook Electrician

We're a small electrical company that works on houses. Most of our calls start with something that isn't right: a breaker that won't stay on, outlets that went dead, lights that dim when the AC kicks on. Our job is to figure out why, fix that, and not sell you work you don't need.

We'd rather spend an extra half hour testing than come back next week for the same problem. That habit carries into bigger jobs too. Before a panel upgrade or a generator install, we look at your load and your wiring so the new equipment fits the house it's going into.

What Moves the Price of Electrical Work

We don't post prices because two jobs with the same name can be very different. A panel swap in an open garage is not the same job as one behind finished cabinets. Here is what changes the number.

After we look and test, you get a written estimate by line item. Nothing beyond it happens without your okay.

What we find when we test
A loose connection is a short fix. Burned wiring inside a wall is not. The diagnosis sets the scope, which is why we do it first.
Access to the work
Open attics and unfinished garages are quicker. Finished ceilings, tight crawl spaces and long wire runs take more hours. Summer attic heat can also slow the work down.
Panel capacity
Adding an EV charger, generator or new circuits may need more room or more amperage than your panel has. That can mean a subpanel or a full upgrade.
Materials and equipment
Breaker brand, fixture choice, charger model and generator size all change cost. We'll explain the options and what each one gets you.
Permits and inspections
Many jobs need a permit and an inspection. The fees and the time for the inspector's visit are part of the job, and we list them on your estimate.
Condition of the old wiring
Older wiring, past DIY work or code problems found along the way can add work. We show you photos before anything extra gets done.

How a Job Runs

Same steps every time, so you always know what comes next.

  1. 1

You call and tell us what's going on

Book your service visit by phone. Tell us what you're seeing, when it started and anything that changed recently, like a new appliance.

  2. 2

We test and find the cause

At the visit we check the panel, the circuit and the devices involved. We take photos of anything worth showing you.

  3. 3

You get the findings and a written estimate

We walk you through what failed and what it takes to fix it. If there's a cheaper option that will hold up, we tell you about it.

  4. 4

We do the work and handle the permit

If the job calls for a permit, we file for it and book the inspector with whichever office covers your address. We protect floors, keep the work area tidy and turn power back on as soon as it's safe.

  5. 5

We check it before we leave

We test the finished work under load and show you what we did. Then we clean up.

Common Questions

Something not covered here? (682) 327-1771

Why do my breakers keep tripping?

Usually it's one of a few things: too much load on one circuit, a short in a device or wire, a ground fault, or a breaker that's worn out. Each one has a different fix. We test the circuit and the breaker to find which it is, so you don't pay for a new breaker when the real problem is a melted outlet.

Do you pull permits?

Yes. If your job needs a permit, we apply for it and line up the inspection with the office that covers your address. The permit cost shows up on your written estimate. We're there for the inspection so any questions get answered on the spot.

How long does a panel upgrade take?

A straight panel swap is usually done in a day, with your power off for part of it. Jobs that need a new meter base or utility coordination take longer to schedule because the utility sets its own timing. We'll tell you what to expect before we book the date.

Will my garage work for an EV charger?

Nearly every garage can take one. What decides the job is your panel. We look at how much spare capacity it has and whether there's a free slot for a 240-volt circuit out to the charger. When both check out, it's a breaker and a wire run. When they don't, we walk you through the choices, such as a charger that limits its own draw or a panel upgrade, and what each one involves.

What warranty comes with your work?

Our work comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If something we installed or repaired gives you trouble because of how we did it, call us and we'll come back out to look at it.

Should I get a generator or a battery backup system?

Start with two things: the circuits you can't do without in an outage, and how many hours you need them. A generator handles big loads like central AC and keeps going as long as it has fuel. A battery runs silent and kicks in by itself, but it powers fewer things. We check your panel and that short list, then tell you plainly which one fits.

What is a torque and clean?

It's a maintenance visit for your panel. We tighten connections to the right spec and clean out dust and debris. Loose connections heat up over time, especially on circuits that work hard in the summer, and catching them early prevents damage.
